Ajarhato Travertine Mine
Another mine, which is 15 km from Zanjan city, is Ajarhato travertine mine, which produces 8,000 tons of crushed stone, 1,000 tons of malon stone, and 6,000 tons of cream-colored carcass stone. These stones are used in the construction and road construction industry, and since this mine is a short distance from the city, it has a good location for this purpose.
Malek Abad pumice mine
Malek Abad pumice mine is one of the other Damavand mines, which is located 140 km northeast of Tehran. The exploitation license of this mine was issued in 1990 in the name of Damavand Mining Company; From the details of this license, we can mention the validity of 10 years of exploitation - from the date of issue - with the minimum amount of extraction of 65 thousand cubic meters.
Qaragol Bor mine
Qaragol Bor mine is the only active bor mine in Iran, located approximately 85 km northwest of Zanjan, and its extraction capacity is 1,300 tons per year. With this amount of extraction, Qaragol Bor mine has been able to significantly reduce the need to import ore and make a great contribution to the independence of the country.
Extraction from this mine is carried out in an open and stepped method; Of course, in 2014, due to the volume of tailings and uneconomical mining, this mine was closed. But fortunately, from the beginning of July 2018, with the improvement of economic conditions, its mining operations were resumed.
Qalaganj Mine
Qalaganj mine is also a limestone mine of Damavand Mining Company. In fact, the plan to build a hydrated lime factory in the southwest of Kerman province, Qalaganj city, with the aim of reducing deprivation in deprived areas, was communicated to Damavand Mining Company by Mustafafan Foundation in 2016. In this way, the stages of executive operations and installation of machines in this area have started so that Qalaganj mine will also join the mines of Damavand Mining Company.
